29 year old Romi Klinger is a true California girl. Raised in Pasadena by a modern family of two Mother’s and a Father, she lived a best-seller book life. She found her calling as a Make-up Artist immediately and pursued it full force. Graduating from The Make-up Designery in 2005, she did every program to ensure her range, from beauty to special effects. Her education and charisma allowed her to manage Benefit, a beauty and waxing salon, for four years. Since then, Romi has been an Apothecary Buyer for Kitson, a Freelance Make-up Artist and Co-Creator of the lesbian event company PYT. Romi is currently on Showtime’s The Real L Word, creating a cosmetic line, Co-Owner and Designer of HIJA Por Vida and Owner and constant blogger for www.tenderomi.com.
Together, Romi Klinger and Vanessa Salazar are the Owners and sole Designers of HIJA Por Vida. Founded on their commonality of being Mexican daughters raised by strong Mothers, HIJA is a jewelry and accessories line influenced by sentimental objects from, and memories of, their childhoods. Hija Por Vida, has already enjoyed amazing success with the support of online retailer Love and Pride, and her 2nd line, Casa Por Vida, is set to launch late September and will be shown at Lipgloss in October. Her unique sense of style has made her a fashion trend setter, which is apparent in everything she does, from her jewellery line to her stunning photo shoots.
